To spearhead our training programs in sustainable sugarcane farming and marketing for Agricultural Marketing Cooperative Societies (AMCOS), the Kilombero Community Charitable Trust (KCCT) is looking for an enthusiastic Agriculture Training Officer.
Specific duties and responsibilities:
- Analyze training needs by conducting tests to find out what training is needed for farmers, AMCOS, and other stakeholders in the production of sugar cane.
- Training Delivery: Leading dynamic and captivating AMCOS training sessions.
- Performance evaluation is the process of tracking how well training initiatives are working by measuring knowledge retention and skill development through tests, evaluations, and feedback systems.
- Working along with internal departments, outside partners, governmental organizations, and community stakeholders, stakeholder engagement aims to match training programs with more general organizational and industry goals.
- Continuous Improvement: reviewing and updating training materials, procedures, and curricula on a regular basis to take into account industry trends, new technology, and best practices.
- Community outreach is the process of interacting with farmers and local communities to offer extension services, education, and capacity-building programs that enhance sustainability, socioeconomic development, and sugar cane farming methods.

Job Qualification and Experience:
- A diploma in agriculture, applied agricultural extension, or a similar discipline.
- Experience conducting training in a multicultural setting with an emphasis on cultural sensitivity and inclusivity
- Three years or more of experience growing sugarcane.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the sugarcane sector, particularly a solid grasp of AMCOS grower operations.
- Shown dedication to environmental conservation and sustainable farming methods.
- Outstanding organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding communication skills in Swahili and English, both in writing and speaking.
Terms of Service: The successful candidate will be engaged on a contract basis.
