Job Advert Summary:
An opportunity to develop, oversee, and maximize all Unitrans activities on the sugar estate in Unitrans Tanzania has presented itself for an Assistant Contract Manager.
- To assist an organization’s contract management procedure. They will collaborate closely with the team’s other members or the contract manager.
- Starts, organizes, coordinates, inspires, and oversees the sugar estate’s operational operations.
- Closely communicates with the immediate superior.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric with a suitable postsecondary degree in mechanical engineering (B.Eng.)
- Computer literacy and a solid working understanding of Word and Excel are prerequisites.
- Three to five years of senior management experience is required, and agricultural sector knowledge is beneficial.
- familiarity with relevant labor relations laws and practices
- Interpersonal abilities with a focus on business relationships
- Outstanding ability to serve customers.
The job also requires knowledge and understanding of:
- Labor laws in Tanzania
- Laws and regulations pertaining to health and safety
- Organizational management systems, which include administrative, operational, financial, and human resource systems, as well as rules and procedures
- RTK and GIS are examples of pertinent computer programs.
Duties & responsibilities:
- We meet all monthly accounting deadlines.
- Both revenue and expenses fall within the allocated budget.
- Reach and surpass the income goals for the monthly, quarterly, and yearly plans.
- Oversee the mechanical harvesting and cane transportation activities.
- Oversee a variety of auxiliary tasks, such as road upkeep, canal and drain excavation, drone monitoring, bulldozing, crop spraying, and fertilizer application.
- Vehicle and driver utilization is at its peak.
- We meet the “daily required delivery” requirements.
- There is daily communication with the operations management team.
- The fleet of vehicles conforms with all regulatory criteria.
- Observance of health and safety laws and protocols
- Adherence to quality management rules and processes
- Verify and accept all of the monthly 4B data.
- Information on vehicle upkeep is examined.
- Assure and preserve enduring, outstanding connections with the clients.
