Major Functions
At the WWF Tanzania Country Office, organize and oversee all fundraising initiatives and donor connections. This entails organizing, supervising, and guaranteeing the accomplishment of predetermined fundraising goals.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Create and carry out the TCO Growth and Sustainability Strategy in accordance with the overall strategic objectives of the ROA (Africa Regional Office) and the WWF Tanzania Country Strategic Plan.
- Donor Relationship Management: Oversee connections with ministries, local government representatives, civil society organizations, INGOs, the commercial sector, and WWF Network stakeholders, as well as bilateral and multilateral government aid agencies (PSP).
- Business Planning: To maintain growth over the ensuing ten years, create and oversee the TCO Business Planโs implementation.
- Creative Financing Solutions: Clearly state creative ways to fund WWF Tanzaniaโs strategic plan while coordinating projects with local viewpoints.
- Regional Cooperation: Work together with national organizations and other country offices to create regional initiatives that complement the WWF Global Goals and the TCO Action Plan.
Required Functional Skills:
- A track record of successfully developing proposals and collecting money from MEAs, PSPs, foundations, the private sector, and significant development partners.
- Strong interinstitutional connections management abilities, ideally in the development sector.
- Competent in preparing reports and proposals and knowledgeable about intricate financing arrangements.
- Understanding of the non-profit sector, donor organizations, and development challenges.
- Outstanding English communication abilities, both in writing and speaking. Additional benefits include knowing Kiswahili or other languages.

The Head of Business Development will work closely with the Heads of Departments (Head of Conservation, Head of Finance, Head of Operations, Head of People & Culture, Head of Communications, and Head of Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning) as a member of the WWF TCO Senior Management Team (SMT). Coordination and communication with other teams, eco-region teams, species teams, WWF International, and other WWF Network employees will be part of the job.
External:
Engage with NGOs, academic institutions, national governmental organizations, corporate and industry leaders, donors, specialists/consultants, government aid agencies, embassies, and other stakeholders.
