To be located in Mbeya, we are seeking a skilled candidate with the necessary training, experience, and knowledge in manufacturing, supply chain management, and packaging. The manufacturing director will get direct reports from the chosen applicant.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
The position will oversee all aspects of production, including utilities, engineering, safety and health, environment, and quality (SHEQ). The role is in charge of overseeing these operations and providing direction to the functional heads in manufacturing.
The role will be also responsible for;
- Create business and execution strategies for the plant to guarantee that the region’s and CCBA’s productivity and customer service goals are fulfilled.
- Ascertain the achievement of budgetary and production goals.
- Achieve the goals of customer service.
- To guarantee the ongoing enhancement of long-term performance of the supply chain and the value chain overall, collaborate closely with logistics to guarantee the methodical and strategic coordination of all supply chain business operations.
- Oversee all areas of manufacturing operations, such as production, material flow, and all auxiliary activities.
- Execution, effectiveness, and added value—or the end-user’s perception of value—are the primary areas of emphasis. It is necessary to eliminate bottlenecks and boost manufacturing efficiency.
- Keeping the manufacturing assets under control and in a basic state of production
- Take the lead in managing and putting the Supply Chain Way into practice.
- Determine and cultivate pertinent enablers to facilitate the implementation of the Plant Business Plan and budget, such as
- Process, systems, and technology capability within the Central Office Support teams’ norms and frameworks.
- Human capacity to guarantee the achievement of company development goals.
- Process, systems, & technology capability within the frameworks and guidelines provided by Central Office Support teams.
- People capability to ensure that business improvement objectives can be met.
- Lead and advise teams in charge of country management.
- Oversee the plant’s implementation of the CAPEX process.
- Oversee all facets of regional industrial relations, including the main interaction with local labor unions.
- Make sure that the staff is competent, engaged, and productive in order to meet Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd.’s operational and strategic business goals.
- Oversee and direct the creation of a culture of health and safety for all plant workers.

Skills, Experience, & Education:
A degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is a minimum requirement for the position. Additionally, the incumbent should have
- About ten years of experience in a related corporate setting
- A minimum of five years as a senior manager
- Solid performance history in a manufacturing position.
- Strong knowledge of the supply chain
- Understanding of business and management concepts related to production processes, leadership style, human resource modeling, resource allocation, strategic planning, and people and resource coordination.
- Shown ability to effectively manage employee engagement.
- Participating actively as a dedicated member of the leadership team and collaborating with many departments to assist in accomplishing corporate objectives and deliverables are examples of how I contribute to senior management teams.
