We are happy to present a very interesting opportunity for a Reservations and Ticketing Agent to join our team in Dar Es Salaam.
For Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, we are presently hiring ticketing agents and reservation agents. In order to maximize customer satisfaction and exceed annual budget revenue targets, you will be expected to perform in this capacity by offering a comprehensive service-oriented, professional reservations and ticketing service to all clients and travel businesses, either over the phone or in person.
Key accountabilities
- Make and verify traveler reservations.
- Utilizing timetables, airline manuals, reference materials, tariff books, and appropriate ATB issuance for all ticketing transactions, make reservations and plan your itinerary.
- Reduce passenger complaints by helping mistreated passengers, such as NOREC/DNB.
- To cut down on debit notes and passenger complaints, provide tickets with accurate fares.
- Guidance on flight plan modifications, reservation cancellations, and confirmations.
- In order to maintain space and guarantee that all available seats are used on flights, notify load control staff and other stations of any changes to the passenger itinerary.
- Make sure the sales report closes on schedule.
- Launch and advertise your QR product to make money.
- Maintain a record of bookings made via phone, fax, or email; handle activities that transmit messages and authorities.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with 1 year of job-related experience
- Recognized IATA / Airline Basic Tariff Course will be an added advantage.
- Fair knowledge of World Geography.
- Excellent English language communication skills – spoken/written.
- Thorough knowledge of special rates/ offers / promotions.
- Proven ability to manage room sales with due regard to the Revenue.
- Ability to adhere to Management policy and target sales mix to achieve maximum room revenue, ensuring every opportunity to sell is taken.
- Demonstrate Quality Consciousness.
