As the events executive, it is your duty to support the director of catering and events in meeting the catering and events budget for your hotel and to keep the operation system operating at the required level.   • Organize the event from beginning to end in accordance with the specifications, target audience, and goals.
  • Gives prospective customers tours of the facilities and talks with them about hotel choices, booking procedures, and meals.
  • Oversee assigned projects related to event and meeting planning for a range of webinars, workshops, conferences, and meetings.
  • Champions all norms, guidelines, and protocols for the team responsible for event planning.
  • Help with organizing and managing contracts and quotes for M&E, groups, and residential conference business; above all, ensure that business is generated efficiently to meet strict revenue goals.
  • In charge of organizing, maintaining, and expanding the company’s current business as well as bringing in new clients and expanding our market share through hotel promotion.
  • Engages with visitors to get their opinions on the caliber of the goods and services provided.
  • When clients arrive, work together with the banquet operations department to ensure correct setup, event execution, and day/evening resetting.
  • Participates in weekly department head meetings, collaborates closely on future business planning with the director of sales and C&E, and offers information and suggestions at weekly revenue meetings.
  • Create and deliver event sales reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Attendance at all catering meetings is expected, as is attendance at department head or food and beverage meetings when necessary.
  • Accountable for a financial target that the Director of Catering and DOS will mutually decide upon.
  • Welcome and greet customers, give tours of the site, and advertise the amenities and services.

Education, Qualifications & Experiences:

  • A degree in hospitality and prior experience working in a hotel’s sales department are ideal.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, fluency in another language, and excellent written and verbal English communication abilities are prerequisites.
  • An advantage is being computer proficient and having prior Opera experience.
