Position Overview: This role involves hands-on support for sustainable agriculture practices with a focus on organic waste management and composting. The intern will assist in the processing, management, and quality analysis of compost products to help enhance soil health for agricultural applications. Key responsibilities include monitoring compost production, assisting in data collection, testing soil amendments, and supporting educational initiatives for farmers on the benefits and use of organic compost.
Qualifications:
- Has completed a bachelor’s degree in any field. Preferably environmentally related#
- Interest in waste management, composting, agriculture, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic computer skills.
- Physically capable of performing hands-on tasks.
- Willing and able to relocate to Mkuranga or nearby areas.
