In the First Phase of admission, a total of 124,286 applicants have applied to join 86 colleges authorized to admit students in the Bachelor’s Degree. In addition, a total of 856 programs are involved in admission compared to 809 programs in 2023/2024, which is an increase of 47 study programs. Likewise, in terms of admission positions, this year there are a total of 198,986 positions compared to 186,289 positions last year. This is an increase of 12,697 places equal to 6.8 percent in Bachelor programs.
Also in the First Phase of admission, a total of 98,890 applicants equal to 79.6 percent of all confirmed applicants have been admitted to the colleges they applied for. The number of applicants who missed a place in the first phase are forced to send their applications again through the Second Phase of admission.
Applicants Admitted
Applicants admitted to more than one college, Applicants who have been admitted to more than one college must confirm their admission to one college from today 03 to 21 September 2024. This confirmation will be done through a self-verification system by writing a secret number for self-verification on the admission account. Applicants who fail to verify themselves within the specified time will lose their place and it will be given to other applicants.
All applicants are encouraged to ensure that they confirm themselves in advance in order to put themselves in a good position to follow up on other important issues concerning their studies and the certainty of the positions they have obtained. All colleges are directed to provide self-verification assistance to all applicants to facilitate this process.
Opening Of The Second Phase Of Admission 2024
The Commission announces that the Second Phase of Bachelor’s Degree admission for the academic year 2024/2025 has started today on 03 to 21 September, 2024. The Commission advises applicants who did not succeed in getting a chance to be admitted or who could not apply for admission or did not get a chance to be admitted in the First Phase apply now. This will give them another chance to join higher education institutions.
In addition, the Commission directs Higher Education Institutions in the country to announce programs that still have vacancies. Applicants for second round admission are requested to follow the Second Round admission procedure as shown on the admission calendar located on the TCU website (www.tcu.go.tz).
