North Mara gold mine (Barrick Gold Corporation) is located in the Tarime district of the Mara region in northwest Tanzania. It is situated 100 kilometers east of Lake Victoria and about 20 kilometers south of the Kenyan border.
Barrick North Mara started manufacturing products for retail sales in 2002. The Nyabirama open pit and Gokona subterranean deposit are the two sources used in the open pit and underground mining operation. The process unit has the capacity to process eight thousand tonnes of ore per day on average.
Open Positions and Description:
1. Senior Maintenance Planner
- North Mara Gold Mine Limited is seeking to add a Senior-Maintenance Planner to its team. You will be required to work with our top personnel teams within our mining assets and to connect with the Barrick DNA. In accordance with Mine Safety Standards, Policies, and Procedures, you will ensure that daily targets are met and contribute in a safe and cost-effective manner to reach targets.
2. Medical Laboratory Technician
- Qualification requirement: Graduated from a medical institution accredited by the Academy with a degree in laboratory science or above.
3. Service Truck Operator
- Qualification requirement: Able to Drive Manual Transmission/Stick Shift Transmission.
4. Process Maintenance Superintendent
- Qualification requirement: Experience in large underground mining operation or large-scale civil engineering projects.
5. UG-Shift Boss
- Qualification requirement: Relevant Degree or Advanced Diploma in Mining Engineering.
6. Driver
- Qualification requirement: NIT Certification or its Equivalent is required.
7. Senior Geologist
- Qualification requirement: Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology or related field required.
8. Crane Mechanic
- Mechanics Trade Certification/ Full Technician’s Certificate/ VETA Grade one.
